MEET THE DESIGNERS

Rachael Johnson

Rachael Johnson is the owner and head designer of the Bloom Room. Rachael started working in floral design in 2003 out of her Grayhawk home in Scottsdale, Arizona. She started off selling flowers by the stem with her mother, but had a larger vision in mind. Rachael knew she wanted to become the next top design studio in Arizona. After allowing her business to flourish out of her garage, designing weddings, corporate events and parties for some of the most effluent Scottsdale residents, Rachael soon grew too large for her home. So in 2005 she opened her first retail location on the Market Street at DC Ranch. Since then, she has taken on 2 of the top designers in the field and as a team Bloom Room has continued to grow at a rapid pace.

With no formal training, Rachael credits her abilities to her passion for great design and beautiful flowers. She loves working closely with each client and watching their vision come to life.

Rachael’s plans for the future include opening a new warehouse location that will allow her to further feature all the aspects of design the Bloom Room can offer – from flowers, to linens, lighting and furniture rentals. She also hopes that her business will allow her to continue to give back to the community through donation and education. Currently the Bloom Room is the official florist for the Rock ‘N Roll Marathon and donates all of the flowers for the entire week of events. Bloom Room also donated florals for the Denim and Diamonds event which benefits Toys for Tots and Phoenix Metro Boys and Girls Club. Rachael is also a member of the Wish Ball committee and the Heartstrings committee.
